I previously used amazon unbox for offline videos for airline flights.
However, unbox is no longer available or supported.

google play also does not allow offline videos.

does anyone know of a service that allows one to rent a movie, download it for offline, and view it for watching on an airline?

streaming on an airline is incredibly slow.

thanks!

why don't you just burn a copy of your own movies? then you just have to transfer them to your SP3 and voila! all the movies you could want! and cheaper too! ;) if your next reply is "I don't know how" there is plenty of vids on YouTube that show you how! :D

so I tried using xbox video, but I can't get it to download videos.
it won't download either free videos or videos I've purchased.
any ideas? trying this on SP3...

it does allow me to stream, but that won't work for my flight this weekend.
thanks!

Amazon Instant Video *now* only allows downloading to the following devices:
HD content: Fire HD/HDX or Kindle Fire HD/HDX and Fire Phone.
SD content: iPad & iPad Mini, iPhone/iPod Touch, 1st or 2nd gen Kindle Fire.

Clearly a combination of Marketing and DRM restrictions.

Re: xbox video, it appears you cannot download to Xbox One... perhaps if you have an xbox one in your account you might be stymied.

The site says if you have trouble downloading from Xbox Video to contact support and they have a troubleshooter page.... although it seems to be focused on Xbox 360.

Good lord the PC really is dead. :)

You don't have this button on your purchase and/or rental?
