Pro 3 getting hot

Hi all had my pro 3 for a while now and touch wood the numerous updates are starting to make it behave. I have to ask though it's the i5 version and even when I've got it not doing much. It gets really hot on the back. Is this normal

Hot is a relative term without stats.

There is a difference between you not having it do very much and windows not having it do very much. There will often be instances of services running in the background using up resources whether this is virus software or windows host executable things. Have you looked at task manager when you find it heating up?

Are the fans kicking in a lot when it gets really hot?
