Problem with touch keyboard in Firefox

Hi, has anyone else found that when using firefox on the SP4 in tablet mode when you touch in a text input box the touch keyboard does not automatically appear. Similarly if you touch with the pen the handwriting recognition bar does not appear. With chrome the keyboard appears but not the handwriting bar.

Obviously both these features work flawlessly in Edge and IE but I was keen to try FF instead to see if battery drain improved after reading on here.

Has anyone else got this problem with FF, or does anyone have a fix? Thanks

Welcome to the forum

Firefox has not been optimized for touch. I suspect it may be in the future. The result is a hit and miss.

out of interest then, what browser is everyone using when in tablet mode?

Mostly 4, Edge, Firefox, IE and Chrome. There isn't much of s standard, even in tablet mode. Edge would be the best overall if it was a little more reliable though it improved with the big Fall update.
