Simpler Authentication methods?

I'm tired of typing my Live password every time to login, especially with the touch keyboard. I still want to require authentication to login but not password input. Does Surface support pattern or biometrics authentication?

You can use a PIN, or a picture. Don't know if I'd trust the picture though...

Yes, Windows supports biometrics.

Except when I'm using my Surface Pro in Tablet mode, I use a fingerprint reader all the time.
