Recently acquired a surface pro 4, was very pleased to find nytimes crossword app pre-installed. Unfortunately, after it is used for a while, it begins to max out the cpu for several seconds at a time, during which the app freezes, will not respond at all to mouse, keyboard or pen input. This behavior continues until the app is closed and reopened, which cures it for a while.
If anyone has had a similar experience or has an idea what is going on here, please let me know.
