Solved static noise from speakers?

I have had my device for three days and today i noticed static coming from the speakers while watching a video. will go and exchange it.

maybe it's just a faulty driver... try un-installing the drivers and re-install and see if that clears it up...also have you installed any music player apps lately that supersede the audio settings? could be that too...

Two other new Surface 3 owners have complained of the same thing now....

I haven't noticed static but the driver crashed once while playing a video, the sound croaked and ceased until I rebooted.

I'm using the stock video player. How do I find the driver?
