Loud Static on Startup

Today I turned on my Surface 3, and I was greeted with an extremely loud static noise. It's like TV static when you're on the wrong channel. My volume was at 0 and I'm sure it came from the speakers. I'm unable to use it in public - it's that loud. I can't find anyone talking about it, so I'm unsure what this could be.

Possible causes - bluetooth keyboard / wireless mouse / charging.

Had the same problem this last week. From chatting with MS it turned out that I had 43 updates that had not installed. Once these were installed it has ceased. I know how you feel, although I discovered while I was sorting it out that touching certain keys on the keyboard stops it for a bit, in my case the delete key worked best.
