Stylus off on Galaxy Note

Discovered an interesting anomaly. Using a Samsung Galaxy Note stylus on the Surface works splendidly. But using the Surface stylus on the Note has a significant offset up until it touches the screen, often it will start well below the intended starting point.

does the surface still have the corner not matching up problem with the galaxy pen??

Mine doesn't, but I use inking on OneNote in desktop mode so the menu bar covers the top corners and when I get to the bottom I always scroll to have enough room to continue my inking. As for art, all I can tell you is that there is a whole world out there forever grateful that I don't practice it.
