Two SIM contracts? I'm a T-Mobile customer (with a family plan covering a number of phones), and I just added a tablet SIM to my existing contract. Very easy.

Double the price? Not many have two sim contracts (although I have but I'm a rare breed here in London)

Well, I'm here in the US with overpriced cellular service compared with Europe. Adding a "tablet" (which is how T-Mobile views my SPX) to my family plan is quite a bit cheaper than adding another phone. Of course, relying on your phone as a hotspot avoids the battery drain issue described here.
