Again, would've been better if Microsoft could've automated the process, at least for the average user. Being a Microsoft hardware product, there should've been specific Surface Pro upgrade installs that handled everything.

There will be a MSI version at some point that you can just run....it will install all the drivers or Firmware needed. There is already a version for 8.1.

That would be nice, wasn't aware they announced it. The SP3 has it also for Windows 8, but not for the SP2.

Unfortunately representative of Windows mobility devices in general -- whether or not they can be updated for a fair amount of time going forward. If anything, shouldn't be part of the user-experience for Microsoft hardware that wasn't purchased all that long ago.

Guys, i just figured out i dont know exaclty how to update this manually.

Theres any .exe avaiable now or soon i can try?

My SP2 pro are wakening randomly and killing my battery life, and i really need to fix it.
