If you don't like the stripe then contact Microsoft and organise to send it back.

I am outside of my warranty at this point. So I don't think there is much I can do.

Has the stripe got worse? I found the yellow stripe on the left edge of mine today. Just wondering what I can do.

I think you should get it replaced or fixed. Even if it is outside of warranty this is a known issue, well known to users and Microsoft.
