Different Aspect Ratio

    Do you guys think MS (or at least one of its HW partners) will ever come up with a small (8-9 inch) tablet with a 4:3 aspect ratio?

    I also wonder how the Start Screen with the live tiles will look like in that aspect ratio.

    16:10 yes, 4:3 not likely as the High Quality Screens are committed to Apple. Most of the 8" Atom machines are 16:10 (1280x800 or 1920x1200)...

    The Lenovo is from a couple of years ago, IIRC it didn't get much traction outside of China, this is also at the time Apple was moving to Retina Display (freeing up some of the 1024x768 displays). I wasn't aware of the HP Slate8 using 4:3, their 7" is using 16:10...

    I just don't see many OEMs wanting to move to 1024x768 as it seems so mid-2000s. I know that 16:10 is popular because it closely resembles A4 dimensions...
