External Hard Drive

Have a Toshiba 1 TB external Hard drive, when I plug it into the surface, it pops up and says there is a drive, but when I go under the My Computer, it's not there and I can't access any data

Anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe check under Disc Management.

I've got a 500GB WD MyPassport that works fine. That's weird. Is your Toshiba already formatted?

I had two identical Toshiba drives


1 was time machine backups from my Mac, the other a pic backup

I had the wrong one, pardon my stupidity on this one
