Found scanner finally

    Finally found the scanner capability on my Surface. I didn't know the drivers for the Canon Pixma 432 (or any other all-in-one) included scanner support yet, but stumbled upon this method of accessing scanning -

    From the Control Panel select - Devices and Printers ... scroll down and select the icon for a supported all-in-one (don't know what other device drivers support scanning) ... A bar appears below the Address/Search bar that appears as follows:

    Add a device ... Add a printer ... Start Scan ... See what's printing ... Manage default printers ... Print server properties

    Press Start Scan and the New Scan window opens.
