Thanks for the explanations. I'd honestly rather have a scratch on my device than a cover, at least then I get to enjoy it fully until that happens, and then 'mostly' afterwards too lol. Actually I did scratch my first one but I had to get a replacement anyway and this one's been going over a year now and still looks like the day I got it I am a bit OCD about keeping my devices as clean and tidy as possible though... I polish my iPhone & Surface twice daily

However this didn't stop my cat chewing on my Mini DisplayPort adapter! Damn thing.
