surface rt wont turn on? try this

recently got a rt from a relative its about 3 yrs old. he told me it sometimes won't turn on and he's right, doesn't turn on most of the time with one push of power button. so he told me to do this... hold power button down for 10 seconds, release for 4 seconds, hold down again for 4 seconds and release. in about 5 seconds BAM! it starts up. don't know where he learned this trick but it works for me every time on first try.
