True or False: SP3 can't output 4K through HDMI 2.0 to mini DP?

I received the cable matters mini DP to HDMI convertor and it works now but it looks like it was a windows custom scaling option more than anything. I put the Club 3D adaptor back on and it works too.

What a joke, of course right after I buy this cable matters one.
