6/11/2013 System Hardware Update showing up again and failing

My system hardware update from 6/11/2013 is showing up again in Windows update but when I try to install it, I get error code 80070003. I spent an hour or so on the phone with MS to no avail. Since tomorrow is patch Tuesday, I'll see if other patches install or not. I originally installed the update last month when it came out so it's odd for it to show up again. If the next hardware update refuses to install, I'll have to look at a refresh. Is this happening to anyone else?

You would think the combination of Microsoft OS and Microsoft hardware would be well tested and this stuff wouldn't happen. The lack of attention to details with Windows 8 has been my biggest Surface disappointment. It seems like MS is accustom to things failing and just shrugs them off. But in this case they can't blame the hardware designer.

Same here. I tried installing every way possible, removing and re-downloading files, and repairing the service pack data base. All just a big waste of my time. The only thing that seemed to work was to revert to a previous restore point. But still I am not convinced the firmware updated took place. I cannot find any information anywhere that tells me what version each of the firmware components are supposed to be.
