HowTo Add a shortcut to open Windows Update

Are you compulsive about checking for Windows Updates?

You can add a shortcut to Windows Update on your desktopby using this as the location:

ms-settings:windowsupdate

Add a shortcut to access Windows Update:
1. Right-click on your desktop, or in a folder, choose New, Shortcut
2. Paste in the text above as the location of the item, click Next
3. Give the new shortcut a name, such as "Windows Update", click Finish.

The shortcut may be moved or duplicated (copied) to anywhere you desire.

This shortcut may be used as a Web Browser destination to access Windows Update with a single click.
