Battery icon on my surface 3

Hi guys
Im still trying to find out how I can have the time remaining on the battery icon when I place cursor over it.
It only shows the percentage
Surface pro 1 and 2 it shows both
Any ideas

As stated, Connected Standby devices do not have the time remaining shown. The previous Surface devices are not Connected Standby compatible so they do show the remaining time.
It may be possible to get a third party battery indicator app, but they can be a bit flaky.

The time from the battery icon is a bit useless anyway. the time is based on current power draw and percentage of battery remaining. It just does a calculation of the time left. If you change your how you are using the device the time will be incorrect. The percentage remaining is a far better indication of remaining battery.
