Best Buy exchange policy

I bought an SP3 last friday but I returned it for an exchange at Best Buy because the sleep mode was not working properly. Does anyone know if I'm going to get a new one or a refurbished one? I've never done this before so I'm just curious...

If you just bought it less than 14 days ago and you are not doing a warranty return you should get a brand new one. Are you doing it through Bestbuy.com or through the store?

I did it through the store, but they didn't have the device in stock so they placed an online order to deliver directly to my house.
Is there a way of checking whether a device is brand new? Or should I just trust Best Buy?

All Best Buy purchases have a 15-day return period. The only exception being mobile phones, which is 14.

you can get 30 day return if you spend $1500 and 45 day return if you spend $3500 in a 12 month period of time.

Bestbuy doesn't deal with refurbs, only open-box items, so you'll be getting a new one.
