Can I charge my US Surface with Italian power?

Hi guys,

I bought a Surface in the US and now I've just come back to Italy for holidays. I forgot my adapter though, and I wonder whether I can use a standard European USB charger to charge my Surface 3.

As far as I know: USB=USB. So, yes. With the right plugs attached to your adapter you could even use your own adapter I guess.

But if you're there for the holidays, you know people. Just check voltage and amperage and you're good to go

I bought mine last year in the states and Iam using it in Germany with several different adapters, all are working fine

Yep, that will work.

For good results try to find a USB charger that will supply 2.4A, 12W.

Good thing USB wasn't developed by the entertainment industry, they would have hardcoded the plugs to the respective countries.

When I go back to the States in the summer, I use an adapter to charge my Surface 2, which I bought in Spain, and it works fine.
