Display Stopped after new update

My SP3 display stopped working after some new update was installed today. I tried to do hard reset. But again I can only see that the keyboard illuminates but nothing is visible on the screen. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what your hard reset was. Did you try the volume+ and power button trick? How about just a long press on the power button?

I tried both the tricks.. By looking at the type cover I feel like the device boots up, since the type cover illuminates.. But nothing on the display.. When I long press the power button the type cover back light also stops. Which means the device has powered off. Then again if I press the power button the type cover illuminates.. But nothing can be seen on the display..
