Do Form Controls work on Surface Pro 3?

I ask the question about whether form controls (like the scroll bar) work properly on a Surface Pro 3 tablet because they do not work on the iPad (or at least I've not been able to get them to work there). Before buying a Surface I'd like to know if I'll be able to use the control forms or not. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What app or program in particular?
Short answer: Yes, form controls work.

Microsoft Office programs, for example, work with Form Controls and ActiveX just fine. New "touch" app versions do not, because they are for a different use environment than the programs.

But please name the app or program you refer to - Web browser, file browser, image viewer, etc.

Excel. The Form Controls in Excel don't seem to work on the iPad. They work just fine on my desktop but when I view them on the iPad the scroll bar is visible but unusable. When I swipe across it the whole scroll bar moves around on the page.

So, I'm wondering if the Form Control scroll bar in Excel works on a Surface tablet or does it just move around the screen like on the iPad. In other words, can I actually scroll through the list of items like it was designed? Thanks.

Ahhh. Clarity.

Excel forms control works perfectly on the Surface Pro 3, under Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (Technical Preview 9926). I am a geophysicist/geologist, and am a very heavy spreadsheet user, including dozens of tabs, macros, and Add-ins.

Was frustrating for me on my iPads, also. Sold both of them.

Fantastic!!! Thank you. Looks like I'll be buying a Surface Pro soon. I hope the next version has a larger screen.

I like the 12" screen but there are rumors that the Surface Pro 4 may come in both a 12" and 14" screen.

I wonder if this depends on the version of Office you use. Full Desktop 2013 license, one of the Office 365 variants, or lessor web Office instances which I cant even keep track of. Like Sherwin Williams MS covers the earth with an array of product variants and sub-feature set/licensing plans more bewildering than a Peyton Manning play call sequence.

You may need to contact an Office Licensing Specialist with their super secret six page foldout decoder matrix to receive an answer even they aren't sure of and noone can understand.

So true. I wonder how many people realize there are/were 6 version of Windows 7 alone. Office has become a hodgepodge.
