Solved How to permanently turn off the mousepad?

I use a Bluetooth mouse and I want to turn off the mousepad. My thumbs touch the pad accidentally and that causes the mouse cursor to jump to a new location while I'm typing.

I tried to disable the mousepad in Device Manager but next time I turn on the Surface the mousepad was active again.

Any suggestions?

I just use these settings when needed :)

Great. I turned off the one that says "Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected." So if I turn off the mouse, the mousepad becomes active again and when I turn the mouse on the mousepad becomes inactive.

Thanks for your help.
