How to shut off a surface pro

I just reset my Surface Pro so that I can ship it to someone, but I can't figure out how to shut it down from the personalize screen. It's a first generation. Can I shut it down with the onscreen keyboard somehow? If I hit the power button it just seems to shut the screen off. Thanks!

It's buried under the Charms by swiping from the left.... The Surface Pro shipped with Windows 8, update to 8.1 and it will become much more convenient to get to the power button.

Charms? I'm on the setup screen. I think I figured it out, holding the volume up and power button for 15 seconds, then releasing and pressing the power button again quickly seems to do the trick.
