Solved Internal mic levels automatically turning off in 8.1

Anyone else having this issue? I use Dragon Naturally Speaking or the Google mic button to do a voice search. Everytime I need to go into the recording devices properties and turn up mic levels. Don't know what is lowering the levels to zero.

Any ideas?

Just in case anyone ever reads this, I uninstalled the audio driver in Device Manager. I think I am now running the generic Windows audio driver. It seems that the problem is resolved. After I uninstalled the Real tech audio driver, I did a scan for changes in Device Manager. Now it seems to be working well.
