Lifecam update make any difference?

Can anyone tell any difference with the lifecam update? I no longer have the lifecam dashboard because I created my own Win 8 image and I'm wondering if its worth the effort to figure out how to get it working again.

I have no Life to Cam so I didn't notice. Now if they had a "Bitter Old Man Cam" I would have been all over that.
