Project X-Ray was the first thing we heard about from the Microsoft event. It's a new tech advancement for the HoloLens that Microsoft showed off. During the demo a player was blasting through walls and fighting giant robots on stage at the event in NYC, using a previously unseen hand controller.
The game was basically a mixed reality VR simulation that takes gaming to a whole new level. So far, various folks in the media are raving about how blown away they were by this impressive new tech for the already impressive HoloLens.
According to the presentation, the HoloLens Development Edition will be available for developers to buy sometime in Q1 2016 for $3,000. We can't wait to see what digital artists are able to do with this new AR/VR tech!
