Monitors and Dialog Boxes

This is sort of a funky question. I don't think I've seen this behavior on any other PC setup with multiple monitors. My surface is my primary, and my monitor (HDMI) is the extension. Lets say I have Excel open on the extension and I hit CTRL + F, the dialog box for the find appears on the Surface. Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't have my surface to test, but on my 3 monitor desktop, not matter where I have excel open, the find dialog always opens on the primary monitor.
it opens in a different location on the primary monitor, depending which extended display I have excel running on, but it opens on the primary.

The same thing happens in Word for certain dialog boxes, not all.

Yes, this isn't a Surface problem, it's a general Windows problem that has never ever been addressed.

it is an application support problem. some old versions of app do not have good support for multi monitors
