Guys,

Anyone install the new hardware update this morning from MS?

Time to break out the eggs and make some breakfast!

I only got my typical definition update this morning. No hardware update.

The following updates will be listed as “System Firmware Update – 4/30/2015” or “System Hardware Update – 4/30/2015” when you view your update history.

When Surface updates are provided via the Windows Update service, they are delivered in stages to Surface customers. As a result, not every Surface will receive the update at the same time, but the update will be delivered to all devices. If you have not received the update then please manually check Windows Update later.

• Surface Type Cover Filter Device update (v2.0.1193.0) enables full support for Japanese Surface Pro Type Covers.
• Surface Pen Settings driver update (v4.0.112.1) enables new functionality with the Surface app, available for free in the Windows Store.

Question- what is this "Audio" option in surface app? No explanation given, just "for best quality, set this on".

Meh, so it's hardly anything new. Good they're trying to move some of those obscure options to easily accessible and dedicated app, but I wasn't expecting that . Thanks for link @Randy31416 !
