New stylus - top button not working?

Hi guys,

First post so please be nice

Recently lost my stylus so I bought a new one. It paired and worked out of the box however, the top button no longer opens up OneNote and when I 'tap' a text entry box, the handwriting keyboard no longer pops up. I've tried Googling but haven't found the right solution. Anyone one care to help out?

Need to change top batteries, they are not cheap, $5 each, you need 2 of model 319 batteries

One thing you can try is un-pairing/repairing your pen. Windows+I>Devices>Bluetooth>Select your pen>Remove. Wait a couple minutes, then hold the top button, when it shows up on the list, click on Pair. See if that helps

If the top batteries are dead surely you would not be able to pair?
