One drive on metered connections

Hi,

The option I would like to set to be able to upload/download files on a metered connection but leave OneDrive synch on metered turned off aren't available.

I have this

So the option I want (top one) is greed out.

Any idea why ?

I presume there will be a way to set it in the registry and I can find a key.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SkyDrive\Controller

That has a synchonetered dword

But not sure what I would add to get upload and download switched on.

Basically I want to be to get at my files on a metered connection but not have a whole synch going on !

Sync is just your passwords, favorites and settings....

Still like to be in control of my data.

You could be in control if you log out, log in when you need it, but that may cause other issues.
