onedrive files all online but disk still full

I have very little space on my hard drive. I made all my OneDrive files online and I deleted all the OneDrive files on my hard drive. When I open the OneDriver folders nothing is in it. Yet my hard drive is still as full as ever.

I want to love my SP3 so much but this probably has been very frustrating!

There is a free program called foldersize that will tell you what;s taking up space and I have a link in my signature with some space saving suggestions.

Why not uninstall some apps or programs and reinstall them later?

Did you go through my disk cleanup suggestions. I have seen multiple GB recovered using those tips.
