Outlook 2016 Issues

I have Outlook 2016 on my Surface Pro 4 and I continually run into send/receive issues. I have Outlook linked to a Verizon FIOS POP 3 e-mail account and several times during the day I get a failed send/receive message.

One day last week it was so bad I had to call Microsoft support and we deleted the existing account and reentered all the setting two or three times until it began working again. The guy form Microsoft has said "I had never seen anything like this before and I am nit sure why it had stopped working".

I know the POP 3 server is working because I am receiving e-mails from that account on my iPhone.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Yes so I boxed the darn thing up and returned it. All of my other devices work fine. My yoga 3 pro with its puny core m works like a champ with outlook.

If you go to the account, change account and click test is it failing on both send and receive?

It states that it fails but I do eventually receive the test e-mail on my iPhon

I don't think you really answered the question. And I'm fairly certain if you did what I suggested it wouldn't simply say "it fails".
