pen sticker that came with the surface pro

My son had the pen sticker on the front of lcd instead of the back. does anyone know that tape will peel of the lcd layers if it stick on for a long period of time?

the sticker that came in the box that you can tape on the surface to hold your pen in place

The sticker is packaged with the type cover.

It might 'absorb' the oleophobic coating on the SP3's screen, making the surface roughness (no pun intended) feels uneven compared to the rest of the screen
