Personal Hotspot from iphone not getting connection

guys is it possible to connect your personal hotspot from iphone to surface pro? im having difficulty on getting it connected.. it says that the connection is limited

It should work. Does your carrier limit tethering though? One way to check - can you connect other devices to the iPhone Personal Hotspot OK?

Known issue, http://www.surfaceforums.net/forum/microsoft-surface-pro/3657-surface-pro-wifi-issue.html. Somebody posted yesterday some troubleshooting hints.

Thanks guys! was able to fix it by renaming my hotspot name to Iphone

I was going to suggest that.
For some reason, even though it is the year 2013, some devices have trouble resolving SSID names with spaces.
If you make the hotspot name simple, it should work without issue.
