MS changed my broken surface book. Less than 2 weeks later, the keyboard unit was broken again.
MS required to return the entire item what will cause a complete new installation even where the Tablet unit works properly.
These folks don’t even consider my absolutely not nessesary effort’s.
I will never ever by any hardware from a software vendor.

The thing is: no other manufacturer builds something like the Surface Book. Heck, even Microsoft doesn't make them anymore.

I have similar feelings towards my Surface Pro 2017 Advanced LTE. This is the 6th one of them. Returned all previous ones due to bright spots. This one has them too, but it is out of warranty.
No other company builds something like the Surface Pro. There are some competitors, but the devices are bulky and have bezels....wow!
