Noticed that there are several 3rd party app to record,I used the Sound Recorder in Windows 8 during a training course and it was pretty clear. I'd recommend using One Note though to keep things organized.
If you mean 'take a screenshot' you just have to touch the Windows button and volume down buttons at the same time. The screen will blink if you are successful. The pix will go to Picture Library > Screenshots.Is there a way to record the srceen on surface rt???? any applications?

What happens if you split-screen? Snap an app: Use two apps at the same time - Microsoft WindowsI tried a couple of Metro apps like Pocket Recorder that all seemed to work great...while I was in the app. As soon as tried to do something else, they stopped recording. Now, I just use the standard sound recorder app from the desktop. This runs in the background just fine. It lacks the flashy UI but gets the job done.
