Solved Registration number not Alpha numeric

I just bought my Surface 3 and wanted to register the device. My number is just numbers, not alpha numeric! I tried to register the device and the number wouldn't work during the registration process. Any ideas? I bought it from Best Buy.

Serial number with no letters? Make sure you are not mistaking letter O for number zero, letter I for number one, letter S for number 5, etc.

If you indeed have twelve numeric digits, it should work.

I checked and rechecked the number. It's strange, all numeric no letters. Then I checked the reg number in Windows and it's the same number that's on the back of my device. I don't get it, maybe it was inscribed wrong at the factory?

Don't keep it a secret.

If you chat with MS Support, they can automatically register the device for you. I had troubles when registering the Surface Pro 3.
