I have to agree. I don't think Microsoft limits its distribution away from traditional channels (Target, Wallmart, Fry's, Best Buy, Amazon, New Egg, etc) and ONLY offers it via a few MS stores and online, and is disappointed with sales within 30 days of launch. I call Shenanigans.
