RT Music Player that can play music files from NAS?

Has anyone found a music player (that they would recommend) that will play files directly from a network drive? I've found a couple, but they do not work well at all. I have only been looking at the free/trial ones in the store.

Best to list the ones you have tried.....but have you tried multi media 8, or media monkey

The Music player aka Xbox music can. I use it with my Synology. It is free, and so does Media Monkey if you need FLAC support. Search the existing threads where NAS and music players have been discussed.

Multimedia 8 doesn't seem to work. Media Monkey seems to be building a library. Hopefully it will work. As for Xbox music, it only matches your library then streams music to the device, with adds...

I see several apps that may work, but they don't have free trials.
