Update: Just re-migrated all my Dropbox crap over to the native SSD... back to flying mode on my beloved SpIII!
I wonder if the problem had anything to do with the way in which it was mounted as a VHD to the system? BC I've removed the VHD, and using it as my D:\ drive, and not getting any errors.
Go figure.
