G GreyFox7 Super Moderator Staff member Sep 9, 2016 #2 I assume you tried to undo the security settings and tried to take ownership signed in as an Administrator which failed? Did you try recovery from bootable USB recovery drive? If that failed... boot the Recovery USB again then go to Advanced - command prompt and whack the partitions with diskpart. You should be able to use this procedure regardless of 8.1 or 10. Using a Windows 8.1 USB recovery drive with Windows 10
