Support options don't work

I have a blank screen with a rotating circle. Holding down the on/off button for 30 seconds and the UEFI page restart don't solve it. None of the options on the support page work, and the recovery image download isn't available. I'm sure that the support staff in the UK and USA are busy but after waiting 40 minutes for a response I've thrown in the towel. Suggestions welcome apart from throwing it out of the window!
