Surface pro 2 not recognizing real size

I have the Sp2 256gb model I plug a western digital 2 terabyte passport in and it only shows it as a 30 gb drive anyone else have this issue or know how to fix?

Have never had an issue like that.

Are you sure the partitions are not just set at that size? Try viewing it in Disk Management, it will list out the disk space and partitions.

Yea, check disk management panel what is reports. You probably need to initialize the drive, or the SATA to USB controller in the W.D Passport is broken.
