Surface Pro since upgrading to Windows 8.1 doesn't see my mobile hotspot

I'm using Nokia 808 Pureview and JoikuSpot for mobile HotSpot. Just before upgrading to Winodws 8.1, Surface Pro was seeing the connection and was connecting to it fine but now since the upgrade it just doesn't see the connection and hence unable to connect to it either. I have tried re-installing the WLAN driver, restarted both my phone & Pro to no avail. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Having the same problem with Galaxy S6 hotspot and Windows 10. Unfortunately Microsoft choose a marvel chipset. Yikes.
