Switching between Traditional and Simplified Chinese characters

I'm unable to switch between Traditional and Simplified Chinese characters using the Microsoft pinyin on screen keyboard. The on screen keyboard doesn't allow the short cut keys "CTRL + SHIFT + f". If I plug in a USB keyboard and use the "CTRL + SHIFT + f" keys I can switch between Traditional and Simplified characters. I don't have a Type Cover keyboard so it's kind of hard to switch between Traditional and Simplified characters with the on screen keyboard.

I hope someone @ Microsoft is reading this and finds a solution to this problem because it's getting inconvenient to switch between Chinese characters.
