Syncing my Surface RT with my Windows Phone 7.5?

Is there a way to sync the 2 devices, beyond just file transfer using the Sky Drive app?

The Surface doesn't seem to recognize the phone. Even in the desktop mode, it does not appear in Windows Explorer.

its possible the device doesn't have the drivers to sync phones. Would be a good idea for MS to write those...

Other than using the apps you mentioned I don't know of another way.

There is a Windows Phone app but we have to what for the Windows Phone 7.8 Update to see what it does.

Nope, 7.5 is not supported on RT and you will need to get your phone updated to 7.8 when it's available in order to use the Windows Phone App.
