Taskbar is in the way while using Modern UI Apps

I think you misunderstood Kif. I turned off showing store apps in the task bar, but then I turned it back on. I now have the behavior that I (and I think you) want. When I am in desktop the apps show in the taskbar and the taskbar is always on. When I switch to a Metro UI app either by swipe gesture or by clicking on the app, the taskbar disappears and the Metro UI app uses the whole screen.

Thanks for bring that to my attention. Caulk it up to poor reading comprehension my part. It didn't work for me on the first try but it gives me something to play around with. Thanks!

My fix is enable 'Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing'. Unfortunately this setting isn't sticking on my system when I reboot it so I have to keep enabling it.

How does one open a support ticket with Microsoft for these issues?

Anyone hear of a permanent fix for this problem yet?
